An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

  1. This proverb means that if you eat an apple each day, you will be healthy. This image creates the instructions on “real” medicine for humour on an apple. Write details about the healthy foods you eat, and why they are good for you. You could add experiences with medicines, pain killers, vaccinations you have had as well, if you wish.
  2. Write “everything I know about apples”– their colours, varieties, where they grow, their different flavours, where you buy them, or pick them, how you cook them, dunking for apples, what happens when they rot, etc
  3. Snow White is given a poison apple; there is a fruit (commonly thought an apple) in the Garden of Eden; Johnny Appleseed is an American folk hero, a golden apple starts the Trojan War; William Tell shoots the apple from the head of his son, etc. Write a summary of as many of these stories as you know (or just one with lots of details.)
